Assistant Prof. Wen Fang

Fang Wen, Assistant Professor at the School of the Environment, Nanjing University, Ph.D. He has long been engaged in research on AI-based environmental risk control and synergistic waste management strategies for pollution and carbon reduction. He has led projects including the NSFC General Program and a sub-project of the Jiangsu Provincial Science and Technology Innovation Special Program for Carbon Peak and Carbon Neutrality, and has participated in the NSFC Key Program. He has published multiple papers in journals such as Nature Communications, Environment International, Resources, Conservation & Recycling, Science of the Total Environment, and Fundamental Research, including one paper in Nature Communications (2024). He holds 6 authorized invention patents (covering risk identification and traceability of illegal hazardous waste dumping, early warning for transportation risk control, and real-time risk warning for hazardous waste). As the leading recipient, he received a Gold Medal at the Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions (2022), and as a major contributor, he received a Gold Medal at the Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions (2021) and was recognized as one of the Top Ten Scientific and Technological Advances in the Environmental and Energy Sector of Jiangsu Province.
