Climate-Environmental Risk

In response to the intensifying environmental risks and the need for systematic governance in the context of China’s climate change, this research direction focuses on the comprehensive assessment of climate and environmental risks, the analysis of their propagation mechanisms, and the optimization of mitigation strategies. It is dedicated to uncovering the spatiotemporal evolution patterns and cascade transmission mechanisms of multi-source risks, enhancing the systematic, precise, and forward-looking nature of risk governance, and supporting the coordinated advancement of the national climate risk prevention and control system and the ecological and environmental governance system. Research topics include, but are not limited to: spatiotemporal pattern assessment and evolutionary analysis of climate and environmental compound risks; dynamic propagation mechanisms and network structure analysis of cascading risks; evaluation of risk mitigation effectiveness and analysis of underlying mechanisms; and strategy optimization and pathway design for climate and environmental risk management.
