Structure

The Director of the CECC is Professor Yi-Ming Wei , who also serves as the Chief Scientific of the project. The academic direction leaders of the project act as the Deputy Directors of the Center. Based on its research directions, the Center is organized into five research departments: Energy Economy & Security (led by Beijing Institute of Technology), Energy Supply Transition (led by Huazhong University of Science and Technology), Regional & Sectoral Reduction Path (led by Beijing Institute of Technology), Climate-Environmental Risk (led by Nanjing University), Global Climate Policy Design (led by Beijing Institute of Technology). The leader of each division is responsible for implementing the specific research content, designing and executing the research plans, as well as overseeing talent cultivation, academic exchanges, and societal service activities within their respective direction. The members of the Basic Science Center consist of the project participants. The CECC has an administrative office that assists the director in handling daily affairs, including research management and academic exchanges.

The CECC plans to establish an Academic Committee composed of strategic scientists from both domestic and international arenas, leading academic experts, and senior decision-making and advisory experts from national high-end think tanks. The Academic Committee will provide guidance on the centers development strategy and planning, organizational structure and research directions, major academic activities, and other relevant matters.
