Prof. Wei Guo

Guo Wei is a professor, doctoral supervisor, and Associate Dean of the School of Social and Behavioral Sciences at Nanjing University. He is a recipient of the National Young Talent Program of the Ministry of Education and serves as the leading expert of a Major Project in Philosophy and Social Sciences Research funded by the Ministry of Education.

He has long been engaged in interdisciplinary research on arts and health, migration and mobility, aging society governance, and the intersections of population, environment, technology, and society. He has led multiple research projects, including a Major Project in Philosophy and Social Sciences Research of the Ministry of Education, general projects of the National Social Science Fund of China (NSSFC), special projects of the NSSFC, and youth projects of the NSSFC. He has published over 80 papers in SSCI journals such as Journal of Business Venturing, Social Science & Medicine, Population Studies, and Journal of Ethnic and Migration Studies, as well as in CSSCI journals. He has received the Second Prize (twice) and Third Prize of the Jiangsu Provincial Outstanding Achievement Award in Philosophy and Social Sciences, as well as the Charm Mentor Award for Undergraduate Education and Teaching at Nanjing University. He also serves as a member of the Special Committee on Social Construction of the Central Committee of the Jiusan Society, Vice President of the Jiangsu Provincial Volunteer Service Federation, and Deputy Director of the Population Economy Professional Committee of the Labor Economics Society.
