Prof. Ling Ma

National-level Overseas Young Talent; Chief Scientist of National Key Research and Development Program (R&D) Projects; Associate Professor at University College London (UCL) before returning to China in 2023.

Long-term engagement in research on physics-information hybrid-driven urban system science, including resilience and sustainable development research on urban road networks, water networks, power grids, and computing networks. Presided over the 14th Five-Year National Key R&D Program projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology, major project topics of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, etc. Published nearly 60 papers in SCI Q1 journals including The Innovation (a partner journal of Cell) and Sustainable Cities and Society. Recruits doctoral students annually; requires strong knowledge foundation in geospatial analysis, operations research and game theory, deep learning and large models, etc., or students from management science, public administration, geographic information systems, water conservancy and hydropower, electrical engineering, artificial intelligence and other majors.
